Welcome to KVK Malkangiri
The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) is an agricultural extension center in India. The name means "farm science center". Usually associated with a local agricultural university, these centers serve as the ultimate link between the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and farmers, and aim to apply agricultural research in a practical, localized setting. All KVKs fall under the jurisdiction of one of the 11 Agricultural Technology Application Research Institutes (ATARIs) throughout India.

I take this opportunity in mentioning here that Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malkangiri continues with its restless effort to bring a change in the farming community intervening through need based On-Farm trials, Frontline Demonstrations, Training, Exposure to the new areas with young dynamic scientists and staff. KVK, Malkangiri has taken many extensive and intensive programmes in the field of Agronomy, Plant Protection, Plant Science and Soil Testing with an aim to boost the production and change in knowledge and skill of farmers, farmwomen and other stake holders. KVK Malkangiri is taking its utmost care in transformation of technology to all categories of farming community of the district.The major focus is to increase the income of the farmers by decreasing production cost and popularizing resource conservation practices. It also focuses income generation of farm women in rural youth by adoption of sustainable agri-enterprises and farming system models. KVK is executing various activities with the vision to empower the farming community by proper utilization of available resource based with timely problem identification and solving.

ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଜମିରେ ତଳିରୁଆ ସରିଯାଇଥିଲେ ରୁଆ ଧାନରେ ବାଳୁଙ୍ଗା ଦମନ ପାଇଁ ବେନ୍ସଲଫ୍ୟୁରାନ୍ ମିଥାଇଲ୍ ସହିତ ପ୍ରେଟିଲାକ୍ଲୋର (ଲୋଣ୍ଡାକ୍ସ ପାୱାର / ଇରେଜ୍ ଷ୍ଟ୍ରଙ୍ଗ୍) ପ୍ରତି ଏକର ପିଛା ୪ କି.ଗ୍ରା. ହିସାବରେ ରୋଇବାର ୫-୮ ଦିନ ପରେ ପ୍ରୟୋଗ କରନ୍ତୁ । ଏହା ଦାନାଦାର ହୋଇଥିବାରୁ ଏହା ସହିତ ପ୍ରତି ଏକର ପିଛା ୪ କି.ଗ୍ରା. ବାଲି ମିଶାଇ ବିଲରେ ସମାନ କରି ପ୍ରୟୋଗ କରନ୍ତୁ କିମ୍ବା ଧାନ ରୋଇବାର ୩ ରୁ ୫ ଦିନ ପରେ ପାଇରାଜୋସଲଫ୍ୟୁରାନ୍-ଇଥାଇଲ ୧୦ ଡବ୍ଲ୍ୟୁ.ପି. (ସାଥି) ଏକର ପିଛା ୮୦ ଗ୍ରାମ୍ ପ୍ରୟୋଗ କରନ୍ତୁ ନତୁବା ବିସ୍ପାଇରିବାକ୍ ସୋଡିୟମ୍ (ନୋମିନି ଗୋଲ୍ଡ) ୧୨୦ ମି.ଲି. ୧୪୦ ଲିଟର ପାଣିରେ ମିଶାଇ ଧାନ ରୋଇବାର ୧୦ ରୁ ୧୨ ଦିନ ପରେ ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ଘାସ ୨ ରୁ ୩ ପତ୍ର ହୋଇଥିବା ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ସିଞ୍ଚନ କରନ୍ତୁ । କାଣ୍ଡବିନ୍ଧା ପୋକର ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ ପାଇଁ ଏକର ପ୍ରତି ୩ ଗୋଟି ଯୌନ ସମ୍ବେଦନଶୀଳ ଯନ୍ତା ରଖନ୍ତୁ । ଯେତେବେଳେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଦିନରେ ଯନ୍ତା ପ୍ରତି ୪ ରୁ ୫ ପୁରୁଷ ପ୍ରଜାପତି ପଡିବେ, ତେବେ ଏକର ପିଛା ନିମ୍ବ ମଞ୍ଜିରୁ ତିଆରି ଔଷଧ ଯଥା ଆଜାଡିରାକ୍ଟିନ୍ ୦.୧୫% ୮୦୦ ମି.ଲି. ଔଷଧ ୨୦୦ ଲିଟର ପାଣିରେ ମିଶାଇ ସିଞ୍ଚନ କରନ୍ତୁ କିମ୍ବା କ୍ଲୋରାନ୍ଟ୍ରାନିଲିପ୍ରୋଲ ୪% ଜି.ଆର୍ ୪ କେ.ଜି କିମ୍ବା କାର୍ଟାପ୍ ହାଇଡ୍ରୋକ୍ଲୋରାଇଡ୍ ୪ ଜି. ୧୦ କି.ଗ୍ରା. ସମାନ ପରିମାଣର ଶୁଖିଲା ବାଲିରେ ମିଶାଇ ପ୍ରୟୋଗ କରନ୍ତୁ କିମ୍ବା କ୍ଲୋରାନ୍ଟ୍ରାନିଲିପ୍ରୋଲ ୧୮.୫% ଏସ୍.ସି. ୬୦ ମି.ଲି. ୨୦୦ ଲିଟର ପାଣିରେ ମିଶାଇ ସିଞ୍ଚନ କରନ୍ତୁ । ଯଦି ବକାନି ରୋଗ ଦେଖାଯାଏ ତେବେ କାର୍ବେଣ୍ଡାଜିମ୍ ୫୦ ଡବ୍ଲ୍ୟୁ.ପି ୧ ଗ୍ରା. ୧ ଲିଟର ପାଣି ହିସାବରେ ମିଶାଇ ସିଞ୍ଚନ କରନ୍ତୁ ଏବଂ ୭ ରୁ ୧୦ ଦିନ ବ୍ୟବଧାନରେ ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ବାର ପ୍ରୟୋଗ କରନ୍ତୁ ।
Mandate of KVK
Following are the list of Mandate of KVK:
- Organize short and long term vocational training courses and allied vocation for the farmer and rural youth with emphasis on "Learning by Doing" for higher productions on farm and generating self employment.
- Organize training to update the extension personal with emerging advances in agriculture research on regular basis.
- Conducting "On Farm Testing" for identifying technology in terms of location specific sustainable land use.
- Organise "Front Line Demonstration" on various crops to generate production data and feedback information.
